Independent Baptist Support Center Of Malawi
Current Projects
As full-time Independent Baptist Missionaries we have not only had the privilege of starting churches and training pastors ourselves, but also of getting to know national pastors who were trained under other missionaries who have formerly worked in Malawi. As such we have a great opportunity partner together with national pastors in order to supplement their needs through the Independent Baptist Support Center Of Malawi. This ministry is headed up by myself and is directed with the help of national Independent Baptist pastors. Through these trained preachers we are provided the platform of being informed on current ministry needs as well as giving us the opportunity to encourage the men who have carried on the ministries of former missionaries long after their time of initial training. We have often preached and taught in these ministries but we would love to do even more for these national pastors and rural church planting efforts. There are several projects which we have attempted to do out of our own finances and we are now inviting others to get directly involved in the efforts of IBSCOM as well.

Medium Scale Projects
Roof Tins
While we make no promises to any congregations who show desire to start an independent Baptist Church in their area, we have seen the sacrificial efforts of those who live in the rural areas of Malawi. We love to direct support to these wherever and whenever possible. We only work with congregations which have, undergone one year or more worth of doctrinal teaching from an Independent Baptist minister, purchased their own land with documentation from local government, molded their own bricks and have built their own building, and have used their building with a grass roof for at least one year. We advise them when they are building a church structure to build the walls so that the size of the roof tins will not exceed the cost of USD 500. As new churches are established I.B.S.C.O.M. directs financial assistance to new church plants, when and where possible by working through already established churches and pastors of local Independent Baptist national pastors. We are inviting the greater body Christ to be involved with such projects and by doing so, increase the fruit of their ministries. As of right now we have two church plants that have met our qualifications and we stand ready to help should the financial needs to do so be met. Please earmark your donation for these needs as “Church Roofs”
Large Scale Projects
As has been previously mentioned, most of the Independent Baptist pastors of national churches struggle greatly in the area of transportation. I.B.S.C.O.M. helps to minister to these national pastors in two ways. 1) We have a specified effort of training them to ride a motorcycle, producing a drivers license, and purchasing them a motorcycle. All of this can be done at the once off cost of USD 1000 per pastor. 2) The second way we help these pastors in terms of transportations is to cover the cost of their local transportation which costs 10 $ per week and is available at the end of ever month. Please earmark any donations towards these donations as “pastors motorcycle” or as “pastors transport”
